Changing times at OA and all for the better. We can look forward to a fresh and properly run airline and hopefully a bright future.

As soon as the logo is unveiled and any further changes to product and A/C orders we can post here.

It all looks pretty good OA, but the logo doesn't seemed to have changed that much, which is good for this close to the airline, but the rest of the livery is quite boring. The uniforms aren't bad though. I'm sure the beautiful women of Greece will have no problem filling these uniforms  Smile

Sorry, I misread what OA260 had written, and assumed that what was on the tail of the aircraft n the picture was the new logo. Whoops!

Its nice to see OA being turned around. The only thing is that it faces a huge uphill battle. FR recently said it will move a/c from Irish and UK bases to lower cost countries, and they mentioned Greece amongst others. The threat from LCC's growing in Greece and obviously Aegean is not going to help there turnaround

LOL... I dont expect to see a huge change in Logo but do think it will be a modernised version but retaining the historic brand awareness. Thats always been a major concern by many parties during the privatisation negotiations. Cant wait to see the final winner.

I guess that faces all carriers today BA being one of them. If the right management decisions are made then OA has a place and with a good location and great airport it will have all the infrastructure it needs to develop. So far Im pleased with MIG's choices and decisions.

Well, definitely for regional flights, too. For example, OA uses ATR-72s on flights to Belgrade.

I hope and pray the change won't be too big and that it will lead to abandonement of Olympic circles. It would mean loss of identity, something that JAT voluntarily did in mid-nineties.

I didnt like it at first but it has grown on me. I have seen some better artist impressions so dont take the above as a 100% likeness. The Green looks different in real life. It kind of made me laugh because it reminds me of the uniforms that OA had when PASOK was in power. You would need to know Greek politics to understand it.

I guess the Uniform is less important than the new corporate identity so they chose to get that finished first. I think there will be alot more of a deal made about the Logo launch.

I know the Olympic rings are crucial to the airline's visual branding, but it looks old and very 1980s, especially on the tail. Perhaps they could put the rings on the fuselage below the word 'Olympic' and the tail could have a blue/white combination.

The last 12 months has seen a major change . Ive noticed it myself on recent flights. Lots of new faces and young blood. MIG will only keep ( re employ ) the best of what is currently working there. Others will get desk jobs in government departments as agreed with the Unions.

Just because its old doesnt mean its no good. It just needs modernised. So many airlines have ruined their corporate identities and I pray to god that OA does not fall into that trap.

The latest rumours are that OA will go for around 15 A320's along with the already ordered Q400's and have a total fleet of around 24-26 aircraft.

Codeshares are currently being hammered out with AA and DL for key US cities.

Excellent news. Certainly makes sense to look at these 2 airlines given that their only US route is to JFK. It would be nice to see them codeshare with DL since that would mean an easier connection onto OA for me (selfish I know  Wink ) vs AA and it would definitely help DL solidify their presence in the US-ATH market if OA decides not to offer long haul flights. However, if OA do decide to continue long haul flying, I'd love to see them expand to at least one more city in the US (probably ORD).
