In another thread - DL Hints At MD-90's Future Flying. (by Burnsie28 Jun 9 2009 in Civil Aviation) - I enquired about whether any of the MD-80s built by Shanghai Aviation Industrial Company had found their way back into the USA. These MD-80s were also discussed a while ago in MD-80s Made In China (by Bruce Feb 29 2008 in Civil Aviation)

I thought I'd do some leg work myself and go through the production list from http://www.airlinerlist.com to get the details of where all the SAIC MD-80s and MD-90s are these days. Here's what that yielded.

MD-80

Kit #1 - 49415/1260 - MD-82
Delivered to CAAC as B-2106 on 31/07/1987. Became China Northern Airlines 1/05/1988. Delivered to Cal Del Inc. as N692CA on 2/06/1999. Leased to Spirit Airlines as N815NK on 21.12.1999. Delivered to Andes Lineas Aereas as LV-BNI on 16/12/2007. In service.
