Cool, I'll definitely plan on being there. When is the A380 coming to MKE for EAA?

The date I've heard is July 23rd... not for sure on that one yet.

That sounds a little early - EAA official start date is Monday, July 27th. However, it looks like the MKE Lakefront Airshow is coming back from its haitus on the 25th and 26th.

It seems doubtful that the MKE event is of a high enough profile to draw the A380, but the date you mention would at least suggest the possibility.

Don't they usually try to get the exhibit planes such as the 380 in early? People usually start showing up Friday evening at KOSH for the festivities. Thats when the skys over east central Wisconsin become a complete C.F. Wouldn't surprise me if they wanted it to be there when people start arriving.

Looks like winds will be favoring the 19's, so the Layton viewing area will be the place to be.

Any idea what time it's scheduled to arrive?

Hi gang,
If the winds aren't good for 19R, don't forget the roof of the parking structure.
It gives a great view of 7R/25L. It's also perfect for the taxi pics on the way to
the cargo ramp.

will park over at Cargo Ramp.

If they park it in the same place as they did the An-225 back in 2004, here's where it will be.

And here's a shot of the 225 parked in that spot:

I would've gone to watch it come in, but one of my friends had an extra ticket to the Brewers game. I did swing by afterwords though and saw it being unloaded by the YX hanger.

So are you saying that the A380 will be coming into MKE on 7/27, then taking off for the short hop to OSH? And afterward, leaving OSH on the 31st headed to MKE before moving on? What is it going to be doing at MKE? Media tours?
