Most likely a Royal Flight.

Look at the big jog the flight plan takes between Utah and Arizona. Was that so the 'passengers' could get a good view of the Grand Canyon? It certainly seemed an out-of-the-way deviation from an otherwise normal flight route between BOS-LAX.

A Saudi Arabian 772 flew into LAX as well. Both the 772 and the EY A332 landed and did a quick 2 hour turnaround before the 772 went to STN and the A332 went back to the UAE (nonstop!). Hmmmm....

My posts/replies are strictly my opinion and not that of any company, organization, or Southwest Airlines.

Los Angeles is a very popular locale for Middle Eastern royals with many owning second homes localy.

Visits by VIP aircraft are quite common and picks up tempo during summer months when many come to enjoy the relative 'cooler' temperatures compared to home, and to do lots of shopping, entertaining, and recreation activities.
