IL 76 Crsashes After Take Off At Ostend

An Il 76 crashed shortly after it took off from Ostend Airport in Belgium. No other details available at the moment except that it was transporting 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Algeria which is a normal load for an IL 76.

Not good.........a tragedy for the crew and those they were going to help. I hope no one died.

I thought it just aborted the takeoff after V1 and ran off the end. I think everyone is ok. I dont think it was a real crash.
