I've never given it any thought. You'd better fly whatever aircraft it is, though, or else you won't get there. Have a safe flight!

SQ used to fly 777 and 744 on their MEL SIN twice a day flight. They did use A340 Celestar a while back for a short time.
Have a nice flight.

The A340-300E's were used on the SIN-MEL route when they were first introduced into the fleet. However, with the arrival of the 777-200, the A340 was taken off the route . SQ currently deploys 747-400's on its 2 daily flights from SIN-MEL, SQ 217 and SQ 227.

The 777-300's were used between December 2000 and February 2001.

Hope this helps, and have a safe and enjoyable flight back to MEL. Welcome Home!

regards,

Andrew
