Alright, there is certainly a lot of instability in the indistry right now....seems like nothing but bad news for everyone but Southwest. So the question is, which airline or airlines will end the year with the strongest financial/competitive/Public Relations situations?

My Picks.....
Continental(Depending on Labor issues)
Southwest (duh)
Air Tran

Sir,

Very good choices you've made. Add JetBlue to the list, please. Their PR is very good at the moment, and perhaps they will make money.

As for the rest, it depends on whether they solve their labor issues. At the moment, it looks like United, Delta, and US Airways will get clobbered this year.

But seriously, I think it's Midwest Express. They seem to be doing very well!!! Or maybe if they're not "on top" this year, the future looks bright!!!

For me, though, ALOHA AIRLINES WILL ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE ON TOP!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Big grin Big grin Big grin Big grin

As far as the big 3, I believe that AA is on top at this moment. If Delta can get its labor issues settled, and it does not cost them too much, and then AA starts having growing pains with the TWA thing, then DL could be on top. However, I feel that it will be a while before UA is on top again, as much as I would like to see that.

I would say Southwest. They post huge profit of 121 million compare to 71 million last year especially with high cost of fuel, etc.
