Pioneer Airlines Employee Rings

A friend of mine who's dad once worked for Pioneer Airlines (1940's-1950's) found two of his company rings. The kind a company would give you for a specific length of employment.

The rings have a stone on them. One is red like a Ruby and one is Blue like a saphire.

Does anyone recall which stones represented # of years employment?

i.e. Ruby 5 years , Saphire 10 years
