I've recently learned that through Spanair's new ownership group, there is an intention for Spanair to focus more on Barcelona as a hub (especially with the new terminal 1).
Does anybody have any more info to share with respect to this?

As far as I know, Spanair already saw BCN as one of their HUBS alongside the presence of MAD & PMI. If I remember correctly, last year was JK the largest operating airline from BCN on all segments (international, regional, domestic). They also announced that they want to be the biggest player in the new T1 complex so we can imagine that Spanair will be facing a further growth at that airport and especially within the T1 facility.
