It could be that, or just a refueling stop.

Prestwick is a frequent Atlas refueling stop. Kalitta often uses LGG, but maybe the payload mandated something closer to the water...

I've got $h*t to do

What about past B747 movements at YHZ.

Anyone else remember the KLM B743s that did AMS - YHZ in the early 1990s (IIRC it did continue on to another Canadian destination, my memory is failing me now as to which city it was, although I want to say either YUL or YOW).

How about MK Air, and their B747 crash in YHZ in the fall of '04 or '05.

How many B747s landed in YHZ on 9/11?

Any other B747 users at YHZ, past and present, OR speculation for the future!!!

Great topic!

AN

They were carrying Oil Field Equipment..Not a tech stop, cargo was local pick-up.

CP Air in the '80s: YHZ-AMS (believe flight originated at YYZ)

Currently Asiana Cargo loads lobster here at yhz once a week as part of a "round the world " routing .....Seattle, JFK, YHZ , Leige, etc. on the way back to Seoul......
We have had Air France Cargo , Cargolux, Korean Air Cargo , Air Force One , ....also recently Virgin Atlantic , British Airways, Alitalia, here either on med evac or mechanical problems......there are probably more .........all above are 747's of one variety or another
I flew KLM 744 Combi and 743 in 1990 YHZ to AMS and back was able to spend a half hour or so with the pilots on the 743 ......oh the good ole days.......
