Just wondering if any A'Netters can provide any background as to the original Pan Am's history of service to Port Au Prince Haiti.
Curious to know routes they might have flown from there, and various types of aircraft used over their length of service to PAP. Also when they ultimately stopped service.
Any info that could be passed along would be most appreciated.

I have a July 1,1989 timetable in front of me and it shows nonstop service from Port Au Prince to Miami daily, Santo Domingo 3x weekly, and Puerto Plata 3x weekly. All service is shown operated with Boeing 727-200 aircraft.
EDIT: Just found a timetable from 1987 and it showed the same exact service as it did in '89...same routes, frequencies, flight numbers, and equipment.

I have PA timetables from the following dates that show PAP service:
Aug. '71, Aug. '73, Dec. '75, Sep. '77 and Nov. '78
In my Apr. '80 PA timetable there is no PAP service.
Cheers.
