This sector was a milestone for LH and indeed Airbus  Sad - It is good to see the photo - http://www.airliners.net/photo/Lufthansa/Airbus-A300B4-603/1550753/L/ - shows the excellent visual state of the aircraft - I have flown LH many, many times and without exception found the state of the machine both inside and out to be almost perfect.

As I get on in years it is sad to reflect that one remembers so well the introduction of a type and then to see them roll out of service. Not just Airbus but also others - I visited the production facility at Boeing to see early 747-400's being completed and now we see them wasting away in the desert...  Sad

I'm very sad to can not put my tribute in the L1 door to this great aircraft were I have flown many times in the BCN-FRA-BCN route.

Was a great aircraft with a perfect interiors and legroom.

Very sad to loose the last widebodied aircraft in this route...

Many of the A300s had their L1 doors completly covered in messages, including "The best Boeing Airbus has ever built" and a tribute to the FMS "button push ignored".  Wink

They all left FRA with rocketship departures, saw some amazing pictures on spotter forums.
