What is your worst baggage reclaim hall you have been in?
Mine was Birmingham. There was a flight in from Pakistan, and there were lots of people on it. They were sitting on the floor, smoking, little kids running around etc. and it smelt a bit. When we left there were about 65 police officers everywhere with huge guns, ripping to pieces the people from Pakistans luggage, probably checking it for drugs, weapons etc. Then in the Arrivals hall there were enormous crowds of people meeting the Pakistanis. We eventually got out!

(Birmingham is a good airport - don't let this put you off!)

Try PMI in the middle of summer it is a free for all, you can wait over an hour for baggage and thats after its taken you 20 minutes walking from the gate.
Horrendous facility, badly planned- concrete and sterile and not at all user friendly.
My advise if you ever visit, take hand luggage only!!

Natal, Brazil
OLD and worn out! But anyway, our luggage was waiting for us because we had to queue 1.5 hrs to get through immigration after deplaning our B767-300 from ARN.
Liberia, Costa Rica
Here immigration was quick and the terminal was quite modern, but here we had to wait for our baggage for a long time because it took a long time for them to unload our bags from our B757 from HEL, they didn't have any carousels, they just took the bags to the floor and then you just had to look for your own bag.

Athens old airport, both eastern and western terminal. Few carousels, even 5 flights per carousel during rush hour, many people in an average-sized hall, smoking and smelling bad!

Some of you have obviously never reclaimed baggage at Detroit-Metro (DTW). It only floods with about 2 feet of water everytime it rains. I think it was the old Fallout shelter for the airport that they converted to a bag claim hall.

Reus-Millitary Airport, (not just millitary) Costa Dorada, Spain. Near Salou. We landed got off straight away, and all the bags were there waiting for us. Off the plane to the coach in 5mins.
