Hello all....

At the request of a fellow a.netter, I have composed a new chart showing United's daily departures from Miami for a thirty year period spanning from 1977-2007.

It can be found at:

www.departedflights.com/UAMIAhub.html

Enjoy!

Thank you for posting that. Looks like their ops. peaked in 1994.

I specifically remember UA flying MIA-EWR only on the weekends in 2002-2003. Can anyone confirm?

Correct, with an Airbus.

Correct, with an Airbus.

I remember that back in 1997 it was a 727. I was flying American from EWR to MIA (the aircraft was at that time an A300) and there was a United flight EWR-MIA on the 727 leaving at approximately the same time. I much prefer American over United, but in that case I would have preferred to fly United because I wanted so much to fly on the 727, but I couldn't choose because I was flying with my brother and my cousins. I was disappointed. I knew that the 727 would disappear much sooner than the 757 or any Airbus model would. From the mid 1990's to the early 2000's I was observing carefully where I could fly on a 727 by examining the airline schedules. I knew that they were becoming rare with the majors during the second half of the 1990's. That's how I remember it was a 727 at that time.
