Grand Island is neither Grand, nor an Island. Discuss.

If they can make GRI work, they should just pick off every ZK city one by one. Silly

Pretty impressive for a town of just 45,000.

Grand Island, which is formed by the Wood River and the North Platte River, is the largest inland island in the world, thus where the name came from.

It's also the name of a pretty decent song by Neal Casal. Big grin

I agree. Even for G4, this one, by first looks, seems a little out there. GRI is home to only around 45,000. But, they wouldn't go there without reason, I suppose.

Next trip: MSY-SEA-GEG-SEA-LWS-BOI-PDX-SEA-LAS on AS

Does G4 have anything else up their sleeve in the new routes department?

Is it possible that G4 could be drawing traffic from LNK (which lacks service to LAS or PHX)? Or would most of that go over to OMA instead, since it is a little closer? I don't claim to be familiar with the area... just throwing out ideas for G4's success, since GRI is rather small even by their standards.

Very little from Lincoln but some from the cities between Lincoln and Grand Island that all drove to Omaha before....Seward, York, Columbus, Norfolk among hundreds of other smaller towns.

Well if a town with 45,000 folks can attract service, how about HMT (Hemet, CA)? 55,000 there with another 200,000+ within an hour driving distance. Give us a flight to IWA or LAS. Or even better- French Valley Airport outside Temecula (RBK). You can attract over 300,000 people to that airport with a several times weekly service and G4's super low fares.

Both have 6000 foot runways.

Yes, it would cannibalize traffic from ONT, but ONT is going down the tubes anyway. I guarantee G4 can fill an MD-80 at least a few times a week from either airport.

why not? I've flown them many times, great service each time.

Thank God for Allegiant, if it wasn't for them some cities wouldn't see mainline aircraft and non stop flights to popular destinations.

Any other flights coming forth? I would love to see CID-LAX or CID-PGD  crossfingers

I've flown them several times out of AZA and have had good service on all the flights and written trip reports on two of the trips. Why is it you won't fly with them?
