Looks like there's some pretty descent stuff heading for ORD, and already two AE flights are heading for MKE.

Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

Looks like some thunderstorms there. I hope it'll be better in 2 days when I am scheduled to land there...

Not really a diversion, but after being in a holding pattern over the lake it looks like AE #4194 is returning to GRR.

If this is not a diversion, what would the correct term for it be?

Indeed - some thunder just rumbled past my office in the north burbs (moving southeast), but really nothing on the radar is too scary looking. Looks like the back end of it is just crossing from Wisconsin into Illinois now, and there are only a few tiny red/yellow/orange cells, and none are moving towards ORD.

Your right, but they were looking a bit more ominous earlier on. I suppose I might have gotten a bit excited when a saw the red dots on the radar since we've only had diversions like once this year so far.

Forecast isn't great; lots of storms predicted for the next few days.

Also, Obama is in town but I presume delays from his arrival/departure will be minimal ?

I was on EGF 4194 that day....it was a good time. Missed a connection in ORD b/c of it. (This made me remember why I don't like connecting at ORD!)

Well, if it was like when he came into JFK it wont be. On a side note, Tri-state area should see another conga line of storms today as bad as yesterday or even perhaps worse. JFK got 4 storms Sun afternoon. ORD and NYC with storms, happy traveling.  banghead

Haven't had any trouble. Clear sky, flew directly over Chicago downtown and nice landing on 32L  Smile And the day I spent in Chicago: basically no clouds, hot and sunny.
Just the way it should be  Smile
