Here is some food for thought.

If you were the head of state of your country, what type of
aircraft would you choose to be your "Air Force One?"

My own choice would be Airbus 380. I can have extra
room for my staff, conference rooms, exercise
facilities, and a fully equipped situation room for
war time command use.

Look at my name. You'll know. Of course, it would be fully equipped with luxury and safety equipment.

I would get a 777. I would have it be a nose loader like some 747s. Then, I would get some plane with a wingspan of less than 18 ft and use it to fly to the smaller airports that the 777 couldn't get into.

on first thought : stupid subject
on second thought : quite interesting (even though i do not want to be head of state of anything)

it would have to be something smallish but with plenty of range - a gulfstream V would do nicely, thanks

I'll admit I'm tight with a buck. So if I were head of state, I'll be tight with the taxpayers' money also.
So I'll stick with the VC-9s & the C-40s. Regards.

Using my own money,

Boeing 777-300ER with bathrooms, bedrooms and airstairs(flying home). This plane would be capable to stay in the air for up to 100 hrs.

Boeing 737-800BBJ with bedroom and bathrooms.

Tax money,

Gulfstream V

If I would be the boss in the US it would be a 747-400 or a triple Seven. In the years to come I would add the new Mach .95 plane. If in Europe or elsewhere it would either be an A330/A340 or in the future an A380.
