It all goes by experience. New first officers start out around $60,000/yr, but their salary increases dramatically as the years go by. Most senior first officers in the major airlines make aound $100,000-$130,000/yr. The most senior captains, usually with 20-25 or more years of experience, can make up to $250,000/yr.

Also with smaller airlines the FO only get paid 25,000 a year but there was a BA captain that they had to stop rising his pay retired he was getting just over $150,000 a year.

I know the average FedEx salery is 130,000k,
United pilots make the most $$$$ in the busniess! I know a UAL
pilot who fly's the 777 and he makes 238,000 a year!
I will fly for peanuts and a beer if anyone wants to hire me!
I need flight time! Email me!!!

I believe that Fed Ex actually pays the most, not United. Fed Ex has a rather large $300K club

Hey nice to see your name ! I was told by a FedEx pilot that UAL
pilot's make the most. On the flip side I was told by a UAL pilot
that they make the most. An American Pilot told me they make the
most who knows. But I do know that UPS pilot's make
the most in the cargo industry that why the FedEx pilots may
go on strike this year.

actually now that I think about it, it probly was UPS with the 300K club. got mixed up I guess. all these pilots make lots of money. the best part of being a pilot though is the retirement package. we had a guest speaker come to our school last week... Senior captain for Delta L10-11s. waiting on a 1 million dollar plus profit sharing plan. if thats not an incentive to fly I dunno what is
