Is it possible to move from one terminal to another once inside security? If not, will SFO security recognize a non-SFO SIDA badge to enter a terminal? I work for UA but I'm meeting friends coming in on CO, and I have an ORD badge. Thanks!

No, it's not possible to mvoe from one terminal to another without exiting security.

Don't know the answer to your 2nd question, but I doubt it. Sorry.

It is possible to move between T3 and the international terminal via the Star Alliance shuttle... but only the one way, and its doesn't always run.

NS

I was in SFO recently, and you can now walk between T3 (United and American) and the International Terminal without passing thru security. This is a new walkway that goes to the north wing of the International Terminal.

A new secure connector now allows passengers transferring from domestic flights in Terminal 3 to international flights in Boarding Area G to walk directly to their new gate without having to exit and re-enter security or ride a shuttle bus between the two buildings. The connector is particularly beneficial for connecting Star Alliance passengers.

CO Departs out of Terminal 1, IIRC. UA is at T3. You'll have to clear security again at T1. Your SIDA badge will probably allow you to utilize the crew/employee security lines. Although I worked at SFO, my SIDA badge was recognised at other US airports, such as ORD and IAD.

It is possible to walk in between the terminals from what I remember.

Walking from T3 to the Star Alliance side of TI is the only inter-terminal walkway available. If you need to go beyond these, you have to exit the security. That includes going from T3 to the oneWorld side of the TI.
