I flew on 949 waaay back in the day, on one of my very first flights by myself, as an 18-year old.
It was one of the first flights I actually paid for with my own money!
I know I'm not supposed to do "me too" posts but my last UA 737 flight was on a 735 ORD-CLE. I wasn't even supposed to be on that flight but I was trying to go ORD-IAD during a snowstorm in ORD and an IAD flight CXLD. I ended up connecting in CLE to get to IAD. The joys of non-revving. I never knew at the time that would be my last UA 737 flight.

Just from looking at the online UA schedule, looks like October 24. I checked a few west coast routes that have the 737 on it right now, and up through October 24, but each of the cities shows no 737s from October 25 and after.

I've always liked UA's color schemes. I like how different they are from each-other, and yet how they keep some sense of continuity from one to the next.
The most recent one is quite pretty, although something about it bugs me and I can't put my finger on it. I think it has to do more with my feelings towards UA, though, rather than the C/S because if, say B6 had that same C/S (or if VX had it in red   I think I'd love it.
Part of the problem is that it is a C/S that looks very good on widebodies, but the only narrowbodies that wear it well are 737's because the nose on the 757 and A320 sticks out too far. If they lowered and narrowed the cheatlines on the 75 and 320...
The Stealth colors would have looked nice with a different grey. That grey just was too flat. A more lustrous grey would have been beautiful.

Does anyone know if any retirement celebration is being planned for the 735 in August or the 737 in October?
