Does anyone know the status of the KLM 747 IFE PTV retrofit in Y?
Last I read, PH-BFN was done in July -- which bird is next?
I'll be flying to NBO on 13 August and would love to try out the new product.

I'm not sure, but I would guess PH-BFM since she's into maintenance from 28 july till 15 august. Second option, but less likely, would be BFS, into maintenance from 6 august till 8 august.

SkyTeam (KLM & KQ) have double daily service on the route; one morning and one evening flight in each direction. IIRC KLM does the morning departure from AMS to NBO, and the evening return flight, while KQ does the morning NBO departure to AMS, and the evening return flight.
KQ is leasing a KLM MD11 for a few months for this route, as one of their B777s is in maintenance.
As for the KLM B744, its simply luck of the draw. The tail number might be drawn up already, but any number of things such as maintenance, weather, issues with other a/c, could change that.

KLM will start using the B77W AMS-NBO from 30 November. The 777-300ER served to NBO will operate 4 times a week from AMS and will replace the existing AMS-DAR B77W which will revert to B772.
