I spent a few hours trying to catch a flight back to Houston last night at DAL and wondered over to the AA terminal and took some pictures.
Not much of AA left, there are some podiums and such that have yet to be removed. The notes on them say that they are going to BWI. There are a few posters on the wall advertising their 6 daily flights to ORD and a few old AA @ DAL (pre DFW) images on the walls also.
Delta is working out of Gate 31, but there is no activity in that area at all except when they are running their 3 flights. Rumor has it that CO will be relocating to Gate 30 when the construction of the new terminal begins. In looking at Gate 26 and 27, anything would be better than the nasty stained carpet in the area they are in now.
Here is a link to a few pictures I took..... I wish the terminal would have been finished out to pre 9/11 plans... would have looked great. On another note, I had those plans in my hands once....found when I went exploring back in 2002......wished I could have kept them.

I haven't clicked over to your pics yet, but THANK YOU VERY MUCH for posting these.
I'm a huge DAL fan (even though my family lives much closer to DFW on 183), and have been waiting for some sort of status report on the construction for ages.
Has there been any work done?
I was really hoping that the airport would simply remodel existing terminals- I'm disappointed that they will be demolishing the vast majority of the 1958 structure.
I don't have high hopes for the floor globe's survival, either.
But- time will tell.
And yes, CO's area at Love is pitiful- that's the only airline I fly in and out of there on, and it's always kinda depressing. You can quite plainly see that it used to be a ground-level facility, where the restrooms are still located, and then was double-stacked in '68, with virtually no amenities to speak of. So, from that perspective, It'll be an improvement, no matter what happens!

They'd better anchor them to the walls securely by Thanksgiving- otherwise, they'll end up in my carry-on.....
