Only 1 left it seems...strange to have a fleet of 1!

Anyone know where it is operating?

I don't know, but last month I had booked a 735 from SAN-SFO and go figure, I arrived at the airport to find out the plane never even left DEN and they canceled the flight. That was suppose to be my first and last UA 735 flight.

It is very strange to have a fleet of 1.

That's showing a 733, not 735.

I would assume. Unless it happened to not be scheduled today and was just sitting at ORD when the A320 went MX.

Not in the literal sense. It seemingly carries a ton of flexibility though, subbing for just about any fleet type around the system. It does have a schedule though ("schedule" used very loosely). Just tracking down it's schedule is the tricky part.

I would have to look up where it was supposed to be going in and out of but no, it was not just sitting idle in ORD.

It's on the way MSP now and will then return to ORD. This afternoon it will head to BDL before returning to ORD for the night. In the AM it's back to MSP

What happens to aircraft when the entire fleet is put out of service. I know where they go, but do they have a "funeral" for a lack of better words. Like when they stopped using the 727 airplane  and DC10s airplane ... Because in our FAOM chapter 6 is missing assuming thats is where the 727 airplane  was. So when the 737s airplane  are gone so will chapter 7. It will go from chapter 5 A319/320 airplane  to chapter 8 747. airplane  there isn't even a chapter 12 after 777. airplane  Goes right to chapter 13. Wonder what was there or is going there.  optimist

I'm surprised no one has asked what reg.

Weird, I thought the -300 would be gone first.

I don't know if that is completely true. A new FAOM with the new styles was printed in early 2003. So logic would say it was reprinted moving it up one since the 727s were gone by then.

Makes you wonder though.

ACARS says it's N913UA. It was picked up doing ORD-LGA last night. Today it is doing LGA-ORD and then ORD-BDL.

Is there a way to plug in the reg. number of the a/c and find out what it's doing for the day?

I was about to ask it a few hours ago, but since no one else brought it up, I figured it was common knowledge or something and I'd look like a fool for asking.  Silly

IIRC from another thread, I think this one is the last UA 735.... I could very well be wrong.

It was researched in a previous thread that it is indeed N913UA. Interestingly enough, the last UA 735 sighting I can remember was 913. It was flying proudly overhead many moons ago on a flight from the Rockies area to ORD. I'll miss seeing them look so young in the new colors.

Tell ya the truth.... I actually just made an assumption based on the re-do date. Could have been just a place holder for something that never panned out I don't know.

Also I'm just going off the date on the cover of the FAOM I have access to, which is FEB 03, so maybe I'm actually incorrect but I think its something like that.

Hey I think your assumption is actually true.

I pulled out the FAOM and confirmed it was redone in Feb 2003 but I think got talking with someone and they said it was probably not reprinted since all the SWs knew chapters 13 and 14 were emergencies and it would not be smart to confuse them by changing it.

Makes sense  Smile
