In the same time, government refused to buy it and will ordered An148 instead, as the latter, why officially foreign-built, has about 70% of Russian-made parts. OTOH, SSJ, "officially Russian", has "key parts foreign-made". They also ordered two more Il96-300s, as expected, which may be the last ever Il96-300 built.

Good for Sukhoi, good for Yakutia. Yakutia has developed into a nice little airline. My girlfriend flew YKT-SVO with them last year and was pleased to get a ride on one of their nice 757s. Having said that, great to see them updating the fleet with new domestic planes.

Long live Russian Aerospace!

Can't wait for domestic route replacement of their An-24 fleet. I like the An-24s but hey, they have been flying my dad when he was a student, myself since birth and now old enough to fly my kids!!  Smile

Although I feel SSJs would seem a bit out of place here in YKS, unless they plan to utilise them out of VKO base.

We desperately need Dash-8-200, Dash-8-300's STOL capabilities here instead.
