Start the countdown until someone from YEG starts complaining there's no YEG-HNL/OGG service on AC.... Big grin

Back in the day there was, and also YWG-HNL on AC. AC also for some time after the acquisition of CP maintained the YYZ-HNL-SYD service, which I think actually switched to YYZ-HNL-MEL for a while.

So will this cause any loyal WSers out there to switch to AC and save time over cnx in YVR ?

Keep in mind the Canada/Hawaii market took a deep plunge back in the late 1990s as the USD/CDN $$$ exchange took a huge beating. Many Canadians even from the western provinces defected their winter time tropical getaways from Hawaii to the Dominican Republic. Charter companies especially pointed out the fact that POP/PUJ are almost equal distance as HNL/OGG to both YYC and YEG.

There has been nonstop YYC-HNL service off and on for almost 40 years. CP was first if memory correct about 1970 with about one seasonal nonstop a week.
