Probably not very good. While at SFB, our plane from Bangor arrived 12 minutes early, but we left an 20 minutes late. Their boarding process is a bit confusing to say the least; they should try to fix that.
I am PROUD to live in the greatest country on earth: The United States of America!

Not really. I flew them last summer TYS-FLL I visiting my fiance who was near RSW at the time. I think I paid $170rt, I only cared about getting there on time, and even then my flight was delayed a hour, but I was able to let her know, so that she didn't leave until my flight took off.(her driving time was the same as my flying) On the way back, I could have cared less if I got in on time, I had nothing going on and was flying back on the day before classes started.
I'd like to think that unless the flight is late by more than 1 1/2 hours, most people wont care, they are going on vacation, not like they have connecting flights to catch.
Is it bad that I get excited to see even a CRJ overfly? Man, what this place does to you

That's just it. They are cheap, and people get what they pay for. And it isn't like they are risking any missed connections or their passengers are going to miss important business meetings, just a little less time at the blackjack table. Might be doing their pax a favor actually...
Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

You get what you pay for. Since Allegiant doesn't report on-time stats to the US DOT, is there any other way to estimate their on-time performance?
With Allegiant if a flight goes tech, it is likely the spare plane is a good 2 or 3 hours away if you're in the Midwest or Northeast.

I just flew G4 for the first time earlier this month on the route IWA-EUG-IWA. We pushed back from our parking spot right on time leaving IWA and arrived in EUG about 10 minutes early.

I agree their boarding process seems a bit odd and not really that efficient: First they offer pre-boarding to people needing extra assistance/those traveling with small kids, etc, which seems standard across the industry. Then they go with "priority" boarding, and from what I can remember when I booked my ticket, was for those who paid an extra fee to get on first and therefore get first pick of the overhead baggage space. Next was "express" boarding, for those who had a carry-on bag that they were going to put under the seat in front of them, which seemed the most curious to me. Finally they got to general boarding, which was the rest of us. This didn't make the process fast at all, but then maybe the intent was simply to make extra revenue from passengers willing to pay a little extra. But if one of the "express" passengers had an aisle seat, they still had to stand up and into the aisle so that the window seat passengers could get in. Therefore, IMO, I don't see how having an "express" group does anything. The other thing I found odd is that on the IWA-EUG leg, one of the F/A's stood next to two overhead bins and would not allow any passengers to put bags in them, even though it was at the end of the boarding process and there was only 4 or 5 people left to get on the plane. But then right before we pushed back, she put one bag in each of them and that was it. Not sure why.

I experienced this trying to get home from EUG. We aborted our takeoff due to a locked brake on one of the main wheels, and they had to fly a "rescue" jet in from LAS. We finally departed EUG at 0200 in the morning, approx 8 hours late. To their credit, the G4 staff at EUG paid to have about 40 pizzas brought in so we could have some food, and plenty of sodas for all the passengers, which I thought was nice.

According to flightstats.com, Allegiant ranked 9th best on-time among US carriers in July 2009.
FlightStats calculated that in July 2009, Allegiant had roughly:
83% of flights arrived within 15 minutes of schedule
7% of flights were 15 to 30 minutes late
3% were 30 to 45 minutes late
6% were over 45 minutes late
