The worst airline I've ever been in I would say it was Garuda Indonesia. It might be a good airline for some of you but it was very dirty inside. And I usually fly good airlines. How about you?

Northwest. They have lost my baggage, treated me rudely, and would not even answer an e-mail when I nailed them for the terrible service that they give. They talk about wanting to give customer service and all that, but I think they are full of baloney because they cannot even answer a simple e-mail note. I have always been answered by Midwest Express, Continental, and Delta when I have e-mailed these airlines, so that is why I utilize these airlines.

The worst airline I've ever flown has got to be Air India. The flight was from SIN to BOM, with a stopover in Chennai. The plane was dirty inside and the service stank. The fact that I was seated next to what was probably the grungiest guy on the plane in one of the middle seats didn't help much either. He was rude, and though I'm not quick to pass judgement, in desperate need of some extra strong deoderant.

Carnival/Pan Am 2- long delays , the crew was sort of rude and man did they have some absurd boarding policies, and imagine if they were lousy that they ran out of food during the flight.

Continental definately .... rude ground staff and service on domestic flights is almost non-existant. Close second is AA.Absolutely horrible service and what ever little food they serve is bad. IN general all US carriers on domestic flights specially are awful......and as its very well known even international service is also nothing like European and Asian airlines.

Sorry, the worst in service in all respects is American Airlines. BWIA, Air Jamaica and United are much better. AA always comes across as very impersonal. Do not even start to talk about the (very little) food they serve...

Northwest and America West.
I know times have changed, but about 3 years ago I boarded a brand new 757 from DTW to SFO. They showed no movie, food sucked and there was no gate for us at SFO because they forgot to tow the other 757 out. Now, the staff was very friendly. But all of the problems I cited were not because of a bad day but the end result of management decisions made a long time ago.
Same with HP. A 737 across the country to PHX at dinner time w/ nothing but a paper bag with turkey sandwhich. At a $500 fare does HP think I'll ever go back when I could pay $250 on UAL, get a 744 or 777 have Channel 9, airshow and a hot chicken dinner!

CXA330-342 - If you can drop me an email with your Air India flight information along with specific examples of service deficiencies, I will have the matter forwarded to the Sr.Manager - Inflight Service (aka dad) and he will look into it.
Lukino99 - I don't think you can imagine jack squat if you haven't flown the airline, so keep yer trap shut. Thanks.
Finally, if y'all think those airlines are bad, you obviously never had the misfortune to fly Tower Air. I dance on the grave of Morris Nachtomi's monstrous creation.

Northwest and Laos Aviation. The first was because of horrifically bad service and old a/c, the second was because it was totally unsafe (had a crash landing at Wattay International Airport in Laos).
I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

(call it louse aviation , you get what i mean?)
As with Northwest...I like Old planes! I suppose you really have to be old to appreciate them. Garuda were shit when i flew with them, ah well you can't please everybody all of the time.

I haven't really had that bad a service recently although American Airlines last year was a bit unfriendly. I flew two sectors with them and a code share with a third and would you belive my luggage either never left the departure point or was sent to the wrong city each and every flight! While the flights were fine I would have hesitations if I had checked bags to fly them again.
Going back some twenty years I had a trip on THY Turk Hava Yollari I think it was, now known as Turkish Airlines. The flight was on A DC-10 an aircraft that I really love to fly on normally but on this occaision it was the filthiest beast I ever saw. It stank! The flight Stank! The service Stank! However that is history as I have been told the "New" Turkish Airlines is quite good.

Although I don't think it's necessarily fair to generalize one bad experience to an entire airline, I can pretty comfortably address this post--TWExpress. To me, it's no wonder their parent company went bankrupt. The service was outright rude from some gate agents who were dealing very, very poorly with weather delays in St. Louis. I slept at the airport with nothing from them in any way. Not even a 5 minute phone card. If I might also add, the worst airport I've ever been in without a doubt was CGK (Jakarta, Indonesia). Being somewhat of an international city, I thought it would be in-line with other significant Asian destinations. Wrong. Dirty, old, unkept, and a visual eye-sore are adjectives that come to mind. It's unfortunate, that country has been through so much turmoil throughout its history and its airport reflects it. Also, we had to "pay-off" (they wanted money) customs officials in order to bring in some Korean kimchi (pickled cabbage). I would have have felt better if they would have not allowed it in but in a foreign country you're unfamiliar with, you do what they want. Sorry to digress from the topic so much.

AA, IB & DL...
AA, rude & bad food. I remeber on one flight from San Juan to New York, I got up and went to the aft galley and asked for a glass of water and the FA said " We're not here to serve you, we're here in case of an emergency!!!"
DL, rude & bad food. On one flight from San Juan to Miami i had a first class ticket, someone was in my seat so I in a very polite way notified the FA of this and she said "You sit where ever there is space if you want to go!!!" I sat in Economy for the flight and made sure that this FA was reprimanded when we got to Miami!!!
IB, rude, bad food, cancelled flights & huge delays.
I've flown these airlines several of times and got disapointed every time, these are not one time experienced opinions.

I would have to say US Airways. Lost luggage RUDE flight attendants. Flights that are never on time. I hope United buys them, they could use some good training.
