Title says it all, Friday 8/21 taxing by Tech Ops I saw a LH A340 (in star alliance colors) in the Delta hangar, looked like an outboard engine was being worked on. Not a common site! Wish I could have reached my camera.

Today it was not there, and the LAN bird was not visible. I also was curious about the colorful wingletted 737 there too.

Anybody have more details?

The 737 belongs to Moscovia Airlines. They've got one other 737-700 as far as I know.

The Star Alliance LH bird had the #1 engine hanged by the LH engineers. The Lanco 767Freighter- N418LA is in the paint hangar having a fresh LAN Chile paint scheme put on. The passenger LAn Chile 767 has the winglets installed and its almost ready to be taken outside. The colorful blue Moskovia Air 737 had the #2 engine installed and its almost ready to go.

LH445 D-AIGC went tech on 8/19
D-AIHC, an A340-600, flew in the two following days to pick up the stranded passengers.
D-AIGC has been ferried to FRA yesterday and is doing normal ops now.

Looks like the Lanco also had winglets installed.
