Quoting YZFOO7F (Reply 1): Which routes are they planning to deploy the 777 on?
I think that MEM-ANC is supposed to be the first. After that they will be replacing MD-11s on many of the longer routes.
Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

I like it because its different as far as FedEx goes. I mean the above post is right, its all white which is the FedEx livery so you really can't help that but its really cool to see FedEx 777. Now if we can get Atlas Air Cargo which is my fav. livery all together to get some 777.

It's a freaking freighter. What do you expect?
But the FedEx colors just look "right" on the 777, compared to many of their other birds.

To someone unfamiliar with cargo-hauling by air, how significant will the improvement be of a 777 over an MD-11? Obviously a lot, but in practical terms. What's their average fleet age for their MD-11s? Thanks in advance.

It holds more, has better payload/range, and one fewer engine from a more efficient engine family. Those are all improvements you can bank on.

At first glance, it looks like an MD-11 with the 2nd engine mysteriously missing. Beautiful aircraft, one very worthy to grace our skies.

I agree that brown and yellow would be an improvement on this paint job but, no.

The best contribution to safety is a competent Pilot.
25 Braniff747SP: What version of the 777 is this? Thanks BN
26 Stratosphere: It's a 777-200F better known as a 777-200LR
27 Ikramerica: This is the 777F. It is not marketed by Boeing as the 777-200LR (as it's not one, only based on it) nor as the 777-200F, nor is it called that in tec
29 TZTriStar500: Its technically a 777FS2. All the 777 freighters are type certified as 777F series with the customer code added at the end without a dash.
30 MCOflyer: She looks "picture perfect" and the colors fit her just right. Kudos to the painters for doing it just right. KH
31 VZLA787: OK, so it's not a 777-200LR, nor a 777-300ER, etc, etc. But can you let me know which series is the frame based on? 200-300? And the range, LR or ER?
32 FXramper: Had a nice walk around and the a/c is sexy as hell. Yes; 4a2b might see it on ATL-FLL. No; it won't replace any MD ops. I think your the first to say.
34 Ikramerica: Again, it is the 777F. S2 is a customer code, sure, but is not the model designator or version, as asked above. No matter how many times people try t

71 BlueFlyer: So why does the registration have a different model than the TCDS ? Genuine question, not looking to start a pissing contest, just curious.
72 BMI727: Actually I think that FXRamper is right. I should have been more specific in that I don't think that the MD-11s will be replaced, per se, but rather
73 TZTriStar500: I'm not understanding what you mean. If you mean that S/N 37721 (N850FD) is not on the July 28, 2009 TCDS, it will be the next time its revised to ad
