A330-300s are great aircraft for the FCO market in summer - light on front cabin seats, heavy in the back (34C/264Y). Given that FCO has a lot of tourist traffic during the summer and not much demand up front, the A333 really lets them haul people over there in better numbers than anything (including the 777s) in the legacy Delta fleet.

Quoting Davescj (Reply 8): Some of the A330s are going to heavy mx over the winter, and look for them on the Carribean routes also. During the summer, ATL -- FCO also had an A330 for the second daily flight.
I think we will see a return of hte A330 come spring/heavy traffic out of JFK.
Just think about the other big airline operators across the pond, Continental Airlines and US Airways. You see them sending over just about everything they have during the summer, and then in the winter, you find their 767s, 777s, and A330s all over the Caribbean...
Flying in the middle seat of coach is much better than not flying at all!

Quoting Brilondon (Reply 11): I have and I agree totaly. They are in fact vastly superior to the 764's of DL.
huh? how? The 76C (764 with old C seats) are about the same. The 76D (764 with lie-flats) may be the best planes in the fleet. The 333 maybe a little bit better than the 76C in C but in Y I'd take the 767 with 2-3-2 anyday of the week.

The A333 interior IMO pales in comparison to the Boeing Signature Interior of the 764ER. The Boeing Signature Interior IMO looks much nicer and has more overhead storage capacity with the pivot bins.
