Anyone have information on EY's load factors out of BNE, SYD and MEL ? We are flying EY out of SYD to AUH in 12 days and I was just curious how they were doing.

I just know that ever since JU switched over from feeding their flights over from EK ex. Oz, their AUG-BEG sectors are full thanks to Australia originating pax, but then again its just a 733.

Quoting FCAFLYBOY (Reply 3): Luck you though, EY are by FAR my favousite airline! they remind me of how EK used to be, service is excellent as is the product.
Hey FCAFLYBOY,
can't wait to try their product. We'll be on EY451 on Sept. 8 in F. How does that flight look in first ?

If only the customer service and especially the call centre staff were as good. Inflight product - excellent, customer service on the ground.......leaves a bit (or a lot) to be desired.

Can agree to that. Gave them a call the other day as I wanted to find out if we had any chance of flying in their new first class from SYD-AUH. The guy on the phone sounded like he didn't know that "his" airline was upgrading first class as of August 2009.
I said "is there a chance we will be on an A346 with the upgraded first class" and his response was that we could not upgrade as we were already booked in first class.
Left it at that and simply wished him a good day. No matter if old or new first class I am 100% certain we will enjoy our trip to Europe.

Will you be in F AUH-LHR-AUH? If so you may be in for an amazing surprise. The new F Class suite has been launched on that route (one of the three daily flights) and it is absolutely INCREDIBLE!

5 seats sold so far, so a healthy load, but not jam packed! Had the EY sales guy round to see us the other day, the new F suite is indeed on the SYD route and the product looks amazing!
Fingers crossed you will get the new product, if you don't, the existing F is still one of the best around IMO.

No, we will be going SYD-AUH-FRA return on EY 451, EY 1, EY 8 and EY 454. With EY 1 and 8 being A332 have 2 chances to get the new F suite on EY 451 and EY 454.

JU seeking codeshare rights

We're heading out on EY in C on September 12th MEL - AUH - MUC, then back via the same route October 3rd.
My mum left before us last Saturday on the same route and she said C was about 50%, aircraft in total about 70%.
We are really looking forward to flying on EY, it will be our first flight with them.
By the way, out of MEL do EY use the -500 or the -600?
It is also interesting to note that on EY's site they have removed the seat plan for the -500, does this mean they are phasing them out?

Now it seems a day does not pass where people seem to argue that the North America-Australia market is now vastly overserved with flights operated by AC (YVR-SYD), UA (SFO/LAX-SYD-MEL), DL (LAX-SYD), HA (HNL-SYD) VA (LAX-SYD/BNE/MEL), and QF (LAX-SYD/BNE/MEL, SFO/HNL-SYD), not to mention the additional connecting opportunities available through FJ, TN, and NZ. Yes, we have seen the addition of Delta, Hawaiian, and V Australia to the mix in recent years. But, the Middle East-Australia market has seen explosive growth from EK, EY, and QR. Does anybody else seem to think that those segments are even MORE overserved than the North American routes??!?
Flying in the middle seat of coach is much better than not flying at all!

Hi Holger,
seems you are just as excited to fly EY as I am. When I booked my flights back in April I was supposed to be on an A345 which was later changed to a A346. Have a safe trip.
