I will be travelling SYD - LHR on BA16 Wed 2 Sept, interested to know if this 777 will have the new or old J seats.

Thanks

The new ones  Smile. All 4-class 777s have been upgraded for some time now.

But not all of them have AVOD yet I think, at least they didn't in May. I flew on G-VIIM which was not yet equipped with AVOD.

Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

It will be AVOD as ALL of the 4 Class RR ER a/c have been fitted and this type of a/c is exclusively used for SYD at the moment.

G-VIIM is a GE90 powered a/c and all current GE90 4 class a/c in the VIIA-VIIN and IIS range currently have the old GMIS system. They are due to leapfrog the AVOD system by having the new Thales system fitted late next year.

Cheers

It is very good and you will I'm sure get a very good night's sleep. I sleep on my side and I have no problem doing this on these seats. If you can get your hands on a spare blanket I recommend putting one down as a 'mattress' to give some added comfort.

Go to http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Bri...British_Airways_Boeing_777-200.php or www.seatexpert.com when you choose your seats.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
