I was on the ramp in MIA on friday as an A300 (i believe) took off. I noticed many AA employees that were pulled over waving and taking pictures. I have never seen this before, does anyone know what was going on.

American retired their A300s last week. I believe that was one of the last birds to leave the property, bound for ROS and a date with the scrapman.

My guess would be it was the last A300 to leave MIA. They have been retired from
service now so everyone was probably saying goodbye!

Bound for Rosario Agentina?? Or do you mean Roswell, NM (ROW)?

Yep I saw the last A300 at gate D22 on friday when leaving from D25. I was glad I was able to see it. That was the last AA A300 departure from MIA. MIA was the main destination for the A300 so it was a sad sight to see the last A300 leave MIA.
