Don't know if this has been posted before, but an excellent video, not to be missed:

The fully-restored video of Pan Am Clipper Ocean Pearl 747 taken back in the mid-1980s over Florida. Originally edited by Tom Sceurman. Aerial camera/video by Clay Lacy.

I was so lucky to fly with the Pan Am 747 with the billboard livery 4 times. In 1988 and 1990.

Watched the 70's, 72's, 74's and later the 73's, A310's and L1011's at LHR as a teenager

Flew their 727's and 747's in the 80's as a pax and as a boy listened to my dads stories about flying their 707's transatlantic in the early 70's

For people of a certain age, regardless of nationality, Pan Am will always mean something special, and yes, I still miss that big blue globe.

Great vid and thanks for the post

Flew Pan Am 727 from Oslo - London and contineud with their 747 from London to New York and back again in 1988. I flew the same equipment and route in 1990. Some of the last years of Pan Am operation. Very happy I got the chance.
