Houston serves direct to GIG (RIO) and on the way back does a stop in Sao Paulo, but I would still call that service. It started the IAH > GIG in February

Continental flies 767-400ERs from Newark International to London/Gatwick, Paris/Charles de Gaulle, Sao Paulo, and Madrid will be added later in the summer. 767-200ERs are flown to Rio de Janeiro, Zurich, Brussels, and Houston, with Los Angeles, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Buenos Aires to be added later this year.
Expect more European flights out of Newark in 2002, we'll have ten new 764s delivered in that year.
