KLM 77W To JFK 10/6 And 10/10

KLM is going to send the 777-300 to JFK in lieu of their usual 772 on 10/6 and 10/10. Is there anything special going on in AMS on those 2 days that require the additional seats? or is KLM just sending the plane for the hell of it.

Hmmm, can't think of any reason, but it sure is an opportunity to get some pics!

I would think the last 2 weeks would have made more sense, since Holland and New York celebrated the fact that the Dutch founded New York ( first New Amsterdam) 400 years ago. There werer many tourists, press, royal family and ministers.

I thought it was the NY marathon, since KLM then subs the 744s over 772/74E, but that isn't until November right?
