I heard a rumour this evening that Aerlogic, a subsidiary airline which is a joint venture between DHL Express and Lufthansa Cargo, are flying a B777 freighter in to EMA on September 29th.
Has anybody else heard this rumour and is there any substance to it?
Also, if this is true, is it part of a regular B777 service in to EMA?
Been busy at EMA this afternoon/evening - Singapore Airlines B744F, SAFAIR Hercules, Antonov Design Bureau An124 and Lufthansa Cargo MD-11F - it would be great to add the B777F to this kind of line up!!!
I've also heard that Flyglobespan will soon be operating a B757 from EMA.
All of the above makes a pleasant change from Ryanair and BMI Baby B737's!!

I heard yesterday that the first one that was flying around here last week doing circuits and bumps has gone back to Boeing with some kind of technical fault. I was also told by the same source that the second B763F went on a test flight with Boeing and came back with a fair amount of paint missing, so delivery has been delayed.
I must say that a Bright Yellow gleaming B763F with those winglets does look a bit good though!!!

Aerologic commenced services between Leipzig and EMA last night. It is currently going to operate 3 times weekly Tues/Wed/Thurs. B777F is being used. D-AALA operated yesterday and their 2nd 777 is due in tonight D-AALB
With regards to Flyglobespan, i doubt they will be flying from EMA any time soon. BHX seems to get them operating to Canada.

That's a really short route to operate such a large aircraft on scheduled service. Is this route just between LEJ and EMA, or is is tagged on to another destination further away?
