If you were to start working for British Airways, what aircraft would you want to begin with? I would want to start our as a 747-400 FO.

The DC-10, as it seems to fly BA's more exotic routes-Cancun, San Jose (Costa Rica), and soon, Havana.

You would have to be a SO first as you start right down at the bottom. And Aviator UA concorde is really hard to get places on and when ou do as an FO you are suck for 7 years and as a captain for life.
The reason I want to fly as a SO in the 747-400 is that I think I will be able to get into that plane. But If I had to choose between all of BA fleet I would fly the 757 and 767 as you get the short haul and long. But I think that if I get hired I will sit on the plane I fly first.

757 flies on regional routes and I always dreamnt of flying a regional route. I prefer it to International somehow...

777 is a great plane and I would be proud of flying one. THE BIGGEST AERO engines EVER BUILT!!!

I'd like to start out on a nice ATR-72 (for Finnair of course) and then work my way up thru the A319/320/321, and then the B757, and then probably the MD-11, the most beautiful bird ever to grace the skies. Regional routes would be fun because you could do multiple flights in a day, whereas the intercontinental flights you would have to rest for awhile. Plus you won't get bored :)

For those of you who chose the DC-10, it will be removed from service in a few months I believe. Most of its routes will be flown by the 777-200.

I would go with the 777 or 767 because they fly more domestic routes in the US.

This is BA they would either fly domestic routes in the UK or international routes to the US. ANd BA really does not fly the 767 into the US much. They fly it alot to france and big cities. If you want to fly into the US you would have to fly the 747-100/200 they flying into the Us so does the 777. The 767 does fly into the US but not much.

I would still like to fly the DC-10, even though it will be gone soon. I would never fly the 777, not if they paid me a million dollars a flight (well, I might think about it :-).

For freight airlines, I would LOVE to fly a DC-8 Super 70. That would be so cool.

You could also fly the 747-400 because they fly to the U.S. also.
