I visited Opa-locka Airport on Friday September 18th and photographed an engineless Dominicana DC-9-30 being towed to the scrapper's ramp. While the aircraft still had its Dominicana titles intact, the registration had been painted out. Would it be safe to assume that the aircraft was either HI-869 or HI-876 and, if so, does anyone know which aircraft it was? A check of the photo database shows HI-869 active as late as 3 July 09 and HI-874 as late as 15 August 2009. Help in identifying this aircraft would be much appreciated.
