Hi All,

The previous topic has seen over 230 replies, so well worth it to open number 22.
A lot is going on in Switzerland with LX buying back the SR brand, Helvetic said to have recieved a new contract with LX untill 2014. Also Baboo opening new routes from GVA.

The old thread can still be found here : http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...al_aviation/read.main/4454247/#231

Helvetic said to have recieved a new contract with LX untill 2014.

Regarding this issue, there was a question in the last thread, if it is bad or good for SWISS? In my opinion it does not matter for a SWISS passenger as the Helvetic F 100 are nice to fly and comfortable with its 2-3 seating.

My question is whether there are still Avros on the ground due to cockpit crew shortage.
I guess the first wet leased planes which will go out are the two Contact Air F100s.

Suposedly the plane interior is in terrible condition.

Why can't LX get anther 3 A320's from the 2nd hand market to replace the wetlease business?

LX is quite active in it's foreign markets. They also were partial sponsors for the Swiss National Day at various outside stations etc. It's good to show presence especially during those times?

On another note I saw that HB-JMC went in for heavy maintenance last week. I would assume it's without the new seats as they wlll first available in November. Probably HB-JMD will be the first one now with the new Business Class seats?

Thanks all for the nice words, i just got back from LHR which completed my first 3-days rotation. It was just absolutely AWESOME  I saw three amazing sunsets, was in 5 different countries, met a lot of great people, had a pushback tug driver doing magical tricks for us at ZRH (if you read this, thanks again, we laughed a lot!), my first technical at LHR today, and last but not least, met an A380 mid-air crossing 1000ft above us. Plus the many more breathtaking views that you just can't describe with words, and a lot of eyecandy for us aviation nuts

My landings must have been ok aswell, as I haven't heard of any hard landing reports so far

Also, a very special thanks again to Phil for making it out to the airport to photograph my first ever takeoff on the line! I really appreciate it!

I was on 2L's HB-JVC sitting in Seat 02F (operating a LX flight from PRG to ZRH) and I can confirm that not only the seatback would not hold my weight but also the service I received in Business Class was nowhere near LX's standard on similar routes I plied around this date.

As much as I like the Fokker 70 and 100 as an airplane, I prefer to fly LX's AVROs any time over 2L's F100s.
