Thanks for the post - I saw the NW 744 at DEN yesterday and was wondering what it was there for. I wonder if the Nuggets really need a 744......

I did not even know the nuggets were going to TPE, and I live in Colorado well maybe with the Broncos going 4-0 and the Rockies getting in the Post-Season pre-season basketball is not that high of a priority here.

It is interesting why they went to ANC when they could have gone to LAX or SFO and gone non-stop. anyone know why they went to ANC?

a large passenger and baggage load, high altitude takeoff from DEN, and strong headwinds mean tech stop for fuel

It also likely has press etc.

NW 9948 arrived Taipei at 7:24 pm (scheduled for 6:35) at gate D6. (Nuggets)
NW 9934 arrived Taipei at 5:29 pm (scheduled for 4:35) at gate D5. (Pacers)

It seemed for whatever reason it took both planes an extra 30 min to accomodate passengers in ANC.
