Eastern Airways are to start a new route from Durham Tees Valley (MME) to Southampton (SOU) from 2 November.
"Weekday flights will depart from Durham Tees Valley at 6.45am and 4.55pm, landing in Southampton at 8.40am and 6.50pm. Services leave Southampton at 9.10am and 7.20pm, arriving in Durham Tees Valley at 10.55am and 9.05pm."
Does anyone know if they're planning to open more new routes?

Quoting Lxlgu (Reply 1): The flight will be via Leeds/Bradford and will not have no traffic rights LBA MME LBA
Just to expand on that as a result Eastern are closing their LBA Crew base, which operates the current 3xMon-Fri LBA-SOU service (ABZ-LBA is operated from the ABZ end). Therefore T3's weekday LBA-SOU frequency will drop from 3 to 2xDaily.
Overall T3 must believe the cost savings from closing the LBA base, any economies of scale from a larger MME base, the new MME-SOU passengers and the higher loads a combined MME/LBA service should bring outweigh the costs of the short MME-LBA sector
And just a minor point, its not a traffic rights issue stopping T3 selling MME-LBA, it's their own decision, probably because the air demand would be about zero
