I heard it was an RJ and probably a United Express plane. Anymore news?

I guess this is also going to open up a can of "inexperienced crews" down South.

Keep the shinny side up!

According to the CBC story, the plane couldn't see the ground lighting on the taxiway and turned onto the grass by mistake...

Having worked at YWG and just being around the airport a lot, I have never seen any flights operated for United by a CRJ700. Usually they are CRJ100/200.

Probably just an upgrade for the day...I see it happen all the time from DEN...scheduled is a -200 but once in a while they get a random -700.

It wasn't a 700 it was a 100/200. Saw video of the aircraft stuck yesterday morning.

It might have been a NW DC-9. My friend who is a FA was on a flight from MSP was working that flight. He said that after the thrust reversers were activated, the brakes were applied but were not working on the snow covered runway. The reversers were reactivated and the plane was finally stopped, but when it turned onto the taxiway, it fishtailed. The wheel then locked at a 90 degree angle and they were stuck out in the snow until they finally got towed to a gate.
