Yes they are, I think they sighed a preliminary agreement in April, I know code share is just that, but with all the fuzz going with JL, I find it weird JL have talk about cutting some of the routes that some Skyteam member fly and compete with like in "France, Mexico, Italy and Korea and now this code share with a another skyteam soon to be, just by hearing some of their new strategy, I wonder if JL is trying to tell us something about their stand with an alliance?

VN flies already SGN-FUK 3 x weekly. This will change this month with a 2 weekly HAN-FUK and a 2 weekly SGN-FUK. All operated by a A321.
VN and JL already have a codeshare on the HAN/SGN-NRT which is flown by both carriers.
The HAN-KIX route operated daily by JL also has a VN flight number. The HAN-KIX route is planned to be cut by JL in the near future. It will be interesting to see if VN will take over this route to give a connection in KIX for the proposed SGN-KIX-LAX flight which is planned to start next year.
