Taken by MIAMIx707 and myself, departing MCO on it's first day of service. We thought this plane was still in the hangar at MIA. Unfortunately not a.net quality, we only had a 55mm lens with us, as we intended to shoot close-ups of taxiing planes.

Will all the FL sports planes be 717s, or will there be 73Gs as well?

The only thing wrong with the Falcons plane is the fact that it's a Falcons plane.

So true! LOL!! Seriously though, that is a very neat looking aircraft and it will certainly catch your eye.

Is it my imagination or does the 'Falcon' on the tail look like it will be pointing downward when the plane is level?

I believe the falcon points down a little bit in on the helmets, so it fits.
Edited to add second part, rather than double posting.

AS should do another Seahawks plane like they did back in the '80's. Just don't do it up in those awful lime green colors that the hawk premiered a couple of weeks ago at the Bears game they should have won.

After looking at the new Falcons logojet, the black on the front of the fuselage kind reminds me of the Playboy DC9-30 that Purdue used to operate for Hugh Heffner back in the '70's

Odd seeing how in the media guide Delta is the official airline of the Colts.... Delta (NW) is also the airline that actually carries the team too.

Not so odd considering AirTran is plastered all over the Colts website, is a founding sponsor of Lucas Oil Stadium, has a food court named after it in said stadium, and has Peyton Manning as one of its spokespeople.

Agreed. To expand upon that, and to show it isn;t so out of the norm, I don't think USAir/America West has any affiliation with the teams on its NFL logojets.

AIRLINERS.NET CREW HEAD MODERATOR
This morning I was driving through Atlanta and the LCD billboards AirTran has along the Downtown Connector were hyping Falcons 1, but were teasing it with a white 717 drawing. This is definitely much more than I expected. I was thinking that they'd be doing something along the lines of the Elton John/XM logojets and the AirTranica Danica Patrick jet.
In my opinion, they should have painted a 73G in these colors over a 717. They send the 73Gs to most, if not all of the NFL markets FL serves.
Hello Airplanes? Yeah, it's Blimps. You win, bye....

As a Titans fan I'll join you in booing the Ravens plane, but I have to boo the Steelers plane too.
Still, the Falcons one looks nice. The Ravens one, if they do something even remotely similar, will have WAY too much purple...

That would have been ideal for sure, but none of the 73G's are due for paint while Ship 741 (the Falcons plane), as well as the two other forthcoming team planes, were all in the old (tan) livery and due for new paint anyway.
