Even if coming from 2 small airlines , 2 interesting duels (after Air New Zealand and Sama) for Airbus and Boeing.
1 Sky Chile would like to lease either A319s or 737-700s for international expansion , after Peru and Bolivia , would like to fly to Brasil and Argentina.
This lease deal has no connection with the 10 strong 737-200s to be replaced later (In 1 or 2 years) , but the manufacturer having been chosen will have the edge for the replacement market.
2 Air Austral will get either 2 A320s or 2 737-800s to replace 1 733 and 1 735, for flights in the Indian Ocean aera.

Finally, I was in SCL today and I can totally tell there was a sky aircraft taking off from the noise... besides to see the black smoke against the blue sky while watch it leave... it's time to give them some well deserved rest.
Anyway, H2 service is so much better than LA's nowadays that I hope they won't get alike at all. So although it's not that important, I hope they won't go 'a la LAN' with 319 and keep 7377... and even better if they change livery, those palms against the sun are just unbearable...

I would think that UU would go with the 738 since they already have an all-Boeing fleet. Plus, a 738 would look excellent in UU's new livery!

Why ? PAL also flies 732...

I respect your opinion, but disagree. Yes, they offer food instead the little "snack box" of LAN, but nowadays, for many passengers is totally irrelevant to take a meal in a short flight, much more important is the flight departing on time. I don't have nothing against Sky or PAL, but they have a not so good performance with the delays, and when your flight last for 1 to 2 hours, most people wants punctuality over food.
Personally I miss the time when I could fly in the "chanchos"...

I don't count PAL for they are almost unexistant... with only 2 (i think) takeoffs departing SCL it was obvious for me the 732s heard were Sky's
As for the second point you are right, "service" is much complex matter than food, it includes schedules, aircraft, entertainment, etc.
I just think that tiny and ridiculous box of snak of lan is way worse than many other airlines than just solved the issue by charging. I should call it "better in flight catering" for that's what it is.
