AR is searching for 6 737-800s , to be acquired on lease to replace a part of the 12 737-500s.
New or second hand ?
AR is really on the good way to have a modern fleet , after the 737-700s , the Embraers on order , the Airbus long haul fleet they will build , and the retirement of the 732s.

Thanks for the information. It's going to be good to see a modern AR fleet here in the region. As far as Montevideo, TAM, TACA & LAN are flying A319/320, while Gol is flying 737s. This should even things out a bit as far as newer aircraft. PLUNA still has 3 732s but they're no longer operating. PU is only operating CRJs right now.
