As for being drunk well he must have being drinking at the airport as Egyptair does not serve alcohol, if this is the case then he should not have been allowed on board.

Contrary to the report posted TUNisia, the hijacker didnt come into contact with the pilots, he was subdued by the Air Marshalls before that could happen. Its a good thing that they were there to stop him.
he sounds just crazy but probably harmless. pretty much any passenger should have been able to stop him. though if he wasn't stopped, what would he have accomplished? tired himself out poking the cockpit door with his dinner knife?
