According to Lauda Air's homepage, Lauda Air doesn't have anymore direct flights to KUL, SYD and MEL for the Winter 2001/2002 timetable. the only flights found were that of Austrian Airlines, but a remark stated that it was operated by Lauda Air. If Lauda Air doesn't operate on that route, how can Austrian Airlines code-share on it? Or maybe Austrian Airlines haven't updated their timetable yet?
I thought Lauda Air just increased their services to both KUL and Australia and they are thinking of axing that route? Isn't that kind of peculiar?
According to the Malaysian press, again, it is not accurate, stating that Lauda Air is going to double their frequency to Malaysia, but I really doubt this is possible!

Lauda Air has not planned their flights for winter season yet. The other long hauls (for example VIE-BKK or VIE-MUC-MIA) are also not in their schedules yet. We have May and the winter schedule starts by the end of October, give them a little time

perhaps that´s got something to do with the reason that soon all airlines of the austrian airlines aviation group, including AUA, lauda, tyrolean adn rheintalflug, will all use only OS-flightnumbers, which until now have only designated flights with AUA equipment...
If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.

AUA donot operate to Australia, only Lauda therefore any flights will be Lauda flights, it would seem a fair guess would be some sort of rebranding is going on or they haven't got round to marketing them under the Lauda designator yet.

for your clarification:
beginning winter shedule 2001/02 ALL flights operated by austrian airlinens group airlines (austrian, lauda, tyrolean and reinthal) have OS flightnumbers...
thats why lauda is operating to kul and australia, but they have no own number anymore...
