I thought this was a pretty hilarious article written by a journalist currently working for the L.A. Times who used to have to fly as part of the job to get from story to story.....

My favorite quotes:

"...we were rushed onboard by an attendant with big hair and bright butterfly wings of blue eye shadow...." (poster's note: I think I've met this flight attendant!)

"It was a Tu-134, the kind of plane that had an emergency rope, not a slide."
